Description
Monitors associates to ensure they are providing prompt, friendly customer service.
Answers telephone and monitors associate use.
Some travel may be required.
Attends training seminars/webinars as required and conducts training as needed.
Performs price/SKU look-ups.
Monitors and directs departmental housekeeping duties.
Conducts and follows up on price change assignments.
Provides accurate inventory counts as assigned based on but not limited to the following processes:
- Cyclically throughout store
- Corporate directed
- Advertised item outs
- Seasonality
- Known theft issues
- Assists with the fiscal inventory process
- Preparation
- Count/Audit
- Variance Reconciliation
- Exception report review
Acquires and maintains knowledge of products and their placement throughout the store.
Monitors and accurately reports stolen merchandise to management.
Monitors and accurately reports merchandise that is damaged/ destroyed at the store.
Acknowledges customers in a friendly manner as they enter/exit the store and provides exceptional customer service.
Identifies customers entering the store with return merchandise and marks items prior to directing customers to service desk.
Monitors Academy associates entering and leaving the building, performs exit checks as needed.
Conducts receipt checks on high value and/or bulk merchandise leaving the store.
Acts as a theft deterrent through physical presence.
Identifies and communicates with management potential internal and external theft issues.
Documents and maintains records of incidents relating to loss prevention and safety issues.
Researches, reports and monitors inventory discrepancies identified through counts.
Corrects the operational root cause of count discrepancies where possible through training of store associates or advice to Corporate IC of potential systemic or process enhancements.
Conveys all departmental in-store, incoming and outgoing communication.
Distributes work assignments and directs associates as needed.
Duties may change and associates may be required to perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Minimum 1 year retail/loss prevention experience
Ability to operate POS equipment, Symbol, and telephone.
Ability to spend up to 100% of working time standing.
Ability to solve problems and make decisions.
Ability to work flexible hours to include nights, weekends, and holidays.
Observational skills.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
